Dublin Wedding Photographer – Natural, Relaxed & Timeless Photography

Planning your wedding in Dublin and looking for a photographer who captures real moments without the awkward posing?

I’m Michael Dillon, the photographer behind Dillon Photography. Although based in Galway, I regularly photograph weddings across Dublin and love working in some of the city’s most beautiful venues.

From elegant city celebrations to relaxed countryside weddings just outside Dublin, my approach is simple — natural, documentary-style photography that tells the real story of your day.

Wedding Photography in Dublin

Dublin offers some of the most stunning wedding venues in Ireland — from historic castles to stylish city locations.

I’ve photographed weddings in and around Dublin, including venues such as Clontarf Castle, Carton House, and Tankardstown House. Each wedding is completely different, and I focus on capturing the atmosphere, emotion, and all the in-between moments that make your day unique.

Whether you're planning a large celebration or an intimate wedding, I’ll work quietly in the background so you can enjoy every moment.

My Style – Relaxed & Unobtrusive

No stiff poses. No forced smiles.

Most couples tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera — that’s completely normal. My approach is to keep things relaxed and natural so you can be yourselves.

The result? Genuine moments, real emotion, and photographs that feel like your day — not a photoshoot.

Dublin Wedding Venues I Love

Dublin has no shortage of incredible locations for wedding photography. Some favourites include:

  • Clontarf Castle – perfect for timeless, elegant weddings
  • Carton House – beautiful grounds and classic architecture
  • Tankardstown House – one of the most romantic venues in Ireland
  • City centre venues with a modern, urban feel

If you're getting married at a Dublin venue, I’d be happy to share ideas for great photo locations and timelines.

Travelling from Galway to Dublin

Although I’m based in Galway, travelling to Dublin is part of what I do regularly. There are no additional complications — I make sure everything is planned in advance so your day runs smoothly.

Many couples book me specifically because they’re looking for a natural, documentary approach that isn’t overly staged.
